Abstract
Introduction: Continuous study and monitoring of the population is an inevitable necessity with the aim of achieving appropriate planning for the comprehensive development of the country; because matching the population of a country with climatic, geographical conditions, facilities, capacities, God-given and human resources, and utilizing them properly is the secret of the success of any country in the path of development and progress. For this purpose, this research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the demographic identity card in Khuzestan province. Method: The present research is exploratory in terms of purpose and based on a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative) in terms of implementation. For this purpose, data were collected using purposive sampling and semi-structured interview methods, and 45 health experts, professors of the University of Medical Sciences, and demographic experts of Khuzestan province (metropolitan cities of Ahvaz, Dezful, Behbahan, and Abadan) were analyzed until theoretical saturation was reached, and then the data were examined using the structural analysis method of interaction effects of the Mikamak. Findings: Based on the research findings, changing lifestyles and modern lifestyle thinking, phobia of childbirth, the priority of freedom over restraint, politicization of demographic issues, rethinking the meaning of a child (cost-benefit), the impact of cyberspace on the family, parent-centered concerns, the duality of conflict and hope of women, and distrust of government policies are among the influential causal conditions.
