Women and Informal employment: a qualitative study in Sannandaj

Abstract
This research addresses the situation of women who work informally in the informal or formal sectors of the economy. It seeks to find answers to why they enter this sector of the economy, what they experience in this type of employment, and ultimately to understand the role of the institutions involved in the persistence of the current situation of women's informal employment. This qualitative study, using thematic analysis technique, attempted to analyze the results of interviews with 30 women . This study was conducted in Sanandaj in 1402. The results of the study show that women enter the informal labor market for two main reasons: "desire to be present in society" and "financial needs." In this area, they experience "unequal relationships," "a sense of exploitation," and "a sense of inability to seek justice." This study concludes that the relationships governing women's business environment, especially in its informal form, are a deplorable situation and fraught with the violation of occupational and social rights.
