This research is aimed at identifying the reasons for the visit to the fortune teller. The field study has been Zahedan City; a city characterized by cultural complexities, linguistic, religious, and ethnic diversity. The participants in the present study were 12 people who were interviewed in semi-structured interviews, and then the data were analyzed using three stages of open, axial, and selective coding. Findings indicate that the conditions are grounds for referring to the crises of a person's life that a person seeks to resolve. The difficulties and frustrations of individuals create the causal conditions that the person inevitably comes from. Intervention conditions act as catalysts and barriers to visiting the field. The core category of the research is "conditional-passive belief." Thus, in the system of semantics of individuals, the fortune telling is conditional on the individual, the time, and the other, and is associated with a kind of passive. با گذشت زمان و تغییرات جوامع، برخی معرفتهای تاریخی و باستانی چون فال به کلی از بین نرفته و به رغم عدم پذیرش از سوی گفتمان رسمی جامعه، فال حضوری پررنگ در حاشیه داشته و افرادی به تناسب موقعیتهای زندگی‌شان به فالگیر مراجعه می‌کنند. این پژوهش به دنبال شناسایی دلایل و زمینه‌های مراجعه افراد به فالگیر است. میدان مطالعه، شهر زاهدان بوده است؛ شهری با پیچیدگی‌های فرهنگی، تنوع زبانی، مذهبی و قومی که از آن بستری متمایز ساخته است. مشارکت‌کنندگان در پژوهش حاضر 12 نفر از مراجعه‌کنندگان به فالگیرها بوده‌اند که به صورت نیمه ساختاریافته با آنان مصاحبه شده و سپس داده-های حاصل با استفاده از کدگذاری سه مرحله‌ای باز، محوری و گزینشی مورد تحلیل قرار گرفته است. یافته‌ها حاکی از آن است که شرایط زمینه‌ای اشاره به بحرانهای زندگی فرد دارد که فرد به دنبال رفع آن است. درماندگی و تلاشهای ناکام افراد، شرایط علّی را به وجود می‌آورد که فرد را ناگزیر از مراجعه می‌سازد. شرایط مداخله‌گر به صورت کاتالیزورها و موانع مراجعه در میدان عمل می‌کند. مقوله‌ی هسته پژوهش نیز «باورمندی مشروط-منفعلانه» است؛ بدین ترتیب در سیستم معنایی افراد، فال به صورت امری مشروط به فرد، زمان و دیگری و همراه با نوعی انفعال معنا شده است. https://www.jwss.ir/article_120071_14700e122d3c52f9a500d0eeb9b0a781.pdf
