Since most socio-cultural concepts, including gender, are multidimensional concepts, mono-dimensional and absolute conceptions of such concepts lead to a kind of superficiality, especially in the realm of research. The primary objective of the paper is introducing various levels of the linguistics of gender, in other words, the different aspects of gender and linguistic issues. Then, on the basis of this theoretical framework, the condition of this newly-born discipline in Iranian researches is elaborated on. However, the discipline suffers from weaknesses which include having a non-methodological limited approach, ignoring the common gender theories, considering context as multiple and separate social variables and not as a network of relations, and considering men’s linguistic behavior as a norm.</em> زبان شناسی جنسیت یکی از شاخه های مورد توجه در حوزه جامعه شناسی زبان است که به مطالعه تأثیر متغیر جنسیت بر ایجاد گوناگونی های زبانی می پردازد. از آنجا که بیشتر مفاهیم اجتماعی  فرهنگی و از جمله مفهوم جنسیت، مفاهیمی چند بعدی هستند، برداشت های تک بعدی و مطلق از این مفاهیم منجر به نوعی سطحی نگری به ویژه در حوزه های پژوهشی می شود. هدف این مقاله در درجه اول معرفی لایه های مختلف زبان شناسی جنسیت و به بیان دیگر جنبه های مختلف مسائل زبان و جنسیت است. سپس با تمهید این پایگاه نظری می کوشیم که وضعیت این رشته مطالعاتی نوپا را در پژوهش های ایرانیان روشن نماییم. اما این حوزه مطالعاتی نقیصه های متعددی دارد که از جمله آنها محدودنگری غیر روش شناختی، نادیده انگاشتن نظریه های جنسیتی مطرح، در نظر گرفتن «بافت» به عنوان چند متغیر اجتماعی مجزا از هم و نه به عنوان شبکه ای از رابطه ها، در نظر گرفتن رفتار زبانی مردانه به عنوان هنجار می باشد. https://www.jwss.ir/article_17332_2fbe1c703f6893c2bc5066fcbcaa2048.pdf
