Power at the micro-level is one of the determining factors of interpersonal relationships, conflict conditions as well as problem-solving techniques. As one of the most important social institutions, the family is responsible for socializing and internalizing how to deal with problems and ways of solving problems in forms of agreement, magisterial or intimidation and suppression. One of the most important factors affecting family-level problem solving is family structure changes and power relations. This paper is based on a national survey in the family domain through a quantitative method and a questionnaire among 5004 Iranian people was completed by a two-stage sampling method. We seek to provide a complete description of the power structure in the Iranian Family. According to the findings of this study, the structure of power in the Iranian family has changed in its organizational dimensions compared to the past in such a way that the distribution of power among family members has become more symmetrical and has been reduced to a level of vertical hierarchy. In contrast, the family's willingness and orientation towards civic ways in decision-making and problem-solving have increased among members.

The main objective of this research is to study the experience of the graduate Islamic school girls in regard to their education in such schools. The conceptual framework of the study is the articulation of concepts such as Bourdieu's habitus, Veblen's conspicuous consumption, as well as Schutz's dislocation of meaning and Giddens' reflexivity. The article is done in qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach and the tool used for analyzed concepts is thematic analysis. On the basis of the narrative of those conversations by the girl of the study, four main themes in the experience are as the following: the continuity of luxury life under the brand name of the Islamic schooling; the reproduction of the feeling of being the minority and the formation of the minor discourse of resistance; comfortable and peaceful way of living religiously ; having a private atmosphere of one’ own and finally from greenhouse life to encounter with the Other and the reflexivity experience. This study shows that although these girls face a kind of multiplicity and diversity after graduation under the dislocation of meaning, and are subjected to experience reflexivity, but ultimately, habitus aristocracy defines their action and interpretative frameworks.

In this study, considering the importance of addiction and the institution of the family and the irreplaceable role of couples in the stability and interactions of the family center, an attempt was made in a qualitative study based on grounded theory and using Strauss and Corbin paradigm model to investigate the conditions and consequences of addiction in married men as spouses and fathers of the family. The sampling method of this research is purposeful and the sampling technique is 26 snowballs used in vulnerable addicted populations. In this study, the criteria set and the variety of samples, selection and data or in-depth interviews have been obtained. Questions about the conditions and contexts of drug addiction, consequences and implications of addiction, as well as strategies of married men with addiction were the central questions of the research. Based on the findings of the study, unhealthy family categories, circle of friends and place of consumption were identified as the main conditions of addiction, and categories such as family forgetfulness, lost fatherhood, family stigma, family insecurity and family breakdown were among the consequential categories.

The present research has been carried out with the aim of studying women's lived experience of housewifery lifestyle in Deylam city. The statistical population of the research includes 18 women aged 22-60 residing in this city. The researchers in this qualitative study have used phenomenological approach and in-depth interview technique. According to the research results, Deylam city is a society in transition from a traditional situation to a modern one and the indices of modernity such as young women's participation and their progress are significantly seen. Results show that women understand and interpret housewifery based on their own individual and social experiences. In addition, women's responsibility and religious modeling in regard to accepting the role of housewifery and internalizing housewifery norms play an essential role. Women's level of satisfaction and dissatisfaction with housewifery is affected by the satisfaction with married life and their perception of maternal status. The index of power in family in regard to women's subjection to men in house affairs has also an important role. In the end, women draw upon various methods like continuing education, attending religious ceremonies, participating in sports clubs and family parties for their satisfaction and to enhance their lifestyle.

Abortion as a socio-medical issue has increased in recent years. The present article examines the factors and determinants of students' attitudes toward abortion. The study method is quantitative-survey with a sample size of 384 students of the University of Tehran. The results showed that positive attitudes toward abortion were higher among women than men, unmarried people more than married people, Persians more than Baluchis and Turkmen, and youth under 25 years old. In addition, the results of multivariate analysis showed that the variables of involvement in leisure activities, positive attitudes toward extramarital affairs, and gender equality have an increasing effect and in contrast, the variables of religiosity and child value have a decreasing effect on attitudes toward abortion. In total, these variables accounted for about 46% of the variance in attitudes toward abortion. Therefore, value and cultural changes in Iranian society, especially among young people, have changed attitudes toward abortion.

In our society, marriage is the basis for a family. However, marriage has always had different meanings for different generations and the viewpoints towards it has always been changing. The aim of the present study is to recognize the generation gap between mothers and daughters regarding their attitudes towards marriage values and the effective factors in Yasouj city. The methodology implemented is a survey research method and the data collection tool is a questionnaire filled out by 400 sunjects (200 daughters and 200 respective mothers). The sampling method is a multi-stage cluster sampling. Data analysis has been carried out in two levels of descriptive and inferential statistics. The results show that there is a meaningful distinction between the mother’s and daughter’s groups in marriage value variables. Amongst the mentioned independent factors, there was a meaningful relation between age, education, individuality, religion, the level of communication tools usage, leisure activities, gender viewpoints and social trust; and marriage values. On the whole, the results show that some values have changed while marriage still remains valuable in Yasouj; moreover, some changes and generations gaps have resulted in more rational marriages taking place.
